Philosophy

Our philosophy is very simple: Good produce, grown or reared in a traditional fashion that’s not necessarily organic or faddy but good old fashioned produce. Cooked with simple to follow recipes which all students can be able to replicate on their own after the course is completed.

Classes

Class sizes are small, with usually around 8 people on a full day class, giving one of the highest ratio of tutors to students in the UK and Ireland. Classes are taught with our fully qualified chef's tutoring and demonstrating what is required.

Equipment

All of our cookery courses incorporate expert demonstration from our chef tutors coupled with hands-on cookery training and each student has all the equipment they need including a Rangemaster Stove, Taylors Eye Witness knives and Le Creuset Pans as well as a Coghlans Apron and all the ingredients needed.

Because produce is local and seasonal there can be variations in specific menu items depending on the time of year. You will also be provided with a full selection of recipes that you can take home after the course, along with everything that you have cooked or prepared.

Testimonials

“Been going to these classes a few years, absolutely love this place and chef Simon is very knowledgeable and patient. Always a great day out, we tried Mexican today, about our 20th class. Tequila-lime chicken, refried beans, soft flour taco, guacamole and squash/chorizo/onion. This was a half day course, you take all your food home, time flies when you’re having fun. Will definitely return, just checking the course list x”
