Quiche using Gluten Free Pastry, Fresh fillet of Cod with gluten free lemon and herb crust, Poached fruits with brandy with a gluten free winter parfait. Dishes will alter according to seasons and availability

This course will teach you to use Gluten free products properly as well as treaching you some dishes which are free of gluten products

Course Duration

What to wear on the course

You will spend most of the day in the kitchen - we advise wearing sensible, comfortable shoes with non-slip soles and protected toes.

Loose clothing and jewellery should be avoided. Long hair should be tied back.

What do I need to bring on the course?

All ingredients and equipment is provided for you on the day along with aprons

You may wish to bring a bag with you to take home anything you make on the day

Arrival times on the day

Students should arrive 15 minutes before the start of the course allowing you chance to enjoy a coffee or tea and meet fellow cooks for the day.

You will be met by your chef tutor and after a basic health & safety and fire briefing, we will discuss the main objectives of your day in the Kitchen.

Skill levels explained

Our cookery courses show a skill level for the students attending - this is intended as a giude to the level of technical detail you will require on the day. The chef tutors are happy to offer assistance to students in need of additional support during each course and will tailor the day to the group and individual level so nobody is left out in the cold.

Beginner

Students should have an understanding of basic knife skills and basic cookery terms & techniques and is suitable to all those wanting to develop their skills and portfolio of dishes further.

Enthusiast

The student will have spent an average amount of time in the kitchen preparing a variety of meals on a regular basis - this level is suitable for students to hone their skills in a specific area of interest. Additional time is spent on finer details of working in the kitchen.

Intermediate

The student will be comfortable hosting dinner parties and cooking more complex dishes for groups. Advanced techniques and skills are shown along with co-ordinating dishes and managing the kitchen experience more effectively.

Advanced

The student will have spent time at college or working in a professional kitchen environment. These courses focus on specific techniques and dishes.

Cancellation Policy

More than 5 days notice : change the date of your course or full refund less cancellation fee of £10.00

Less than 5 days notice : change the date of your course £10.00 or if you wish to cancel the course there is no refund unless we are able to resell the place less cancellation fee of £10.00

Cancelled / Postponed Courses : if for any reason Coghlans Cookery School has to cancel or postpone a course we will transfer you to another course of at least the same value or full refund will be offered. Coghlans Cookery School can not be liable for other costs incurred in connection with booking such as travel or accommodation. We recommend you take out suitable travel insurance to cover these and other costs
