Coghlans offers a range of food courses specifically designed to appeal to cooks of all abilities - from complete novices to experienced chefs alike. Each cooking course is undertaken in a relaxed and informal environment, but with clear emphasis on superb quality and practical advice.

Every cookery course promises top-level tuition using only the freshest ingredients and experienced tutors - most of whom are one of only 120 Master Chefs of Great Britain - recognised throughout the UK for providing excellence and innovation in the culinary domain.

Demonstrations are offered to help you get the most from your time in the kitchen. Using the top tricks of the trade lighten your workload and put the fun back into cooking. Equipment demonstration ensure you work efficiently and safely and allow you to try the tools of the trade as used by professional chefs.

Each student will receive a recipe booklet of the dishes they have prepared and on most courses a selection of the dishes are taken home. Students attending a cookery course receive 15% off cookware and wine from our shop unless goods are already on a promotion. All students will be able to join our chefs club and receive newsletters, recipes and special promotions for the school and cook shop.

Our courses use the finest local ingredients where possible. The dishes on each course vary to reflect the current season. Each student will receive the highest tuition possible from our chef tutors. Our chef tutors know that each student works at a different pace and are treated individually.

At the age of 12, animal lover Janet Coghlan survived an horrific attack by a Bengal tiger. Three decades later she has crafted these beautiful chocolates to help save the tiger. This is an informal event where we hope that guests will meet like minded people and enjoy great food and a glass of wine from the professional team at Coghlans Cookery School. All hosted events at Coghlans are catered for by our team of highly skilled professionals. Guests will receive a welcome drink and a 3 course seasonal menu of the highest quality. The lunch club meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month and all for only £20.00.
